We’re excited to offer this special ticketed event with architectural historian Dr. Kristin Anderson—a rare opportunity to experience the Selby Avenue corridor through the eyes of an expert. While our historical lectures are typically free, this walking tour includes an in-depth, guided experience with limited capacity.

About the Tour
Selby Avenue has an incredible history—as a business street, a residential avenue, and a key transportation corridor. On this 12-block walk from Selby & Western to Selby & Dale, Dr. Anderson will highlight the street’s commercial past as seen through its buildings and architecture.

Meet on the South Eastern corner of Selby & Western in front of W.A. Frost.

Please note: This is a one-way tour, not a loop.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Earbuds with a standard audio jack (or purchase a colorful reusable pair at the event for $1)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing and gear (sunscreen, water bottle, hat, jacket, umbrella, etc.)

Rain Policy:
Tours will take place rain or shine, unless weather conditions are hazardous (e.g., heavy rain, lightning, hail, high winds). Cancellation or postponement decisions will be made about one hour prior to the event and communicated via email and this webpage.

Participants will be asked to sign a waiver at the start of the tour.
