Wine Tasting & Music on the Hill

Double The Pleasure.. Double Their FUN!

Please join us on Friday March 10th from 6:30 to 9:30 for a fun evening of wine, music and fun.

You already know how great it is to be a member of the Ramsey Hill Association. We are inviting you to introduce someone else to the benefits of membership. You bring along a friend/neighbor who has yet to join and they get to enjoy the evening for free. In addition we will gift them a 2023 RHA membership!

As this event is an attempt to increase membership, here's how it works:

$50 entitles you (member) and 1 guest to get in on the fun

$75 entitles you (member) and 2 guests to get in on the fun.

$100 entitles 2 members and 2 guests to get in on the fun.

 Details:

The evening begins at 6:30 at the home of Doug Mackaman and Maggie O'Hara at 416 Laurel. Upon arrival sample some interesting wines and enjoy catered hors d'oeuvres. At 7:30 our wine tasting begins. Your wine experience will be led by Sean LaBonty, a celebrated wine expert here on the Hill for the past 15 years. For years his Friday afternoon tastings at Solo Vino were  "must attend" gatherings, and now he and his wife have joined the global wine industry as importers and distributers. We will sample a "World of Wines" that will increase your knowledge and appreciation for the ever growing diversity of vintages. Afterwards join celebrated local guitarist Harry Chalmiers for some cool tunes and sweet treats before heading home.

Harry Chalmier's broad musical skill is the result of his formal training in music composition and classical guitar, his experience growing up as a blues/rock guitarist and through his career as a composer, performer and arts leader for 30+ years. After teaching music for many years at Berklee College of Music and The University of Massachusetts, Harry added institutional leadership to his repertoire becoming the Executive Director of MacPhail Center for Music, then Vice President for Academic Affairs at Berklee and most recently as President of McNally Smith College of Music. You have enjoyed Harry's talent on several occasions when he played at Lookout Park during The U Club's Resilience concert series.

What better gift to give than a more connected community? So bring along that new or old neighbor/friend to discover what you already know about the good work, fabulous social events, volunteer opportunities and historic preservation we do together.

Please note this event is limited to 50 guests. Registration is available until Friday March 3 or until the event sells out. Direct any questions to Social Chair Jason Patalonis at 651.221.0273.
