POTENTIAL NEW MARKET-RATE APARTMENT PROJECT
AT NW CORNER OF MARSHALL AND WESTERN
The Ramsey Hill Association is pleased to welcome representatives of the Exeter Group LLC to our Mid-Winter Meet and Greet at the University Club on February 28. They will be available to discuss their potential new apartment project at the northwest corner of Marshall and Western where the Boy Scouts Service Center has been located for many years.
The Boy Scouts organization is moving to a new facility at Fort Snelling later this Summer and Exeter hopes to get started with its new project shortly thereafter. Present plans call for a five story U-shaped building with 150 to 175 market-rate apartments, below-grade parking for residents and guests, and a full-range of amenities including party room and outdoor pool. There will be a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and possibly some three-bedrooms.
Many of you may be familiar with Exeter and the many projects it has done throughout Saint Paul over the last 25 years. Its most prominent recent development was the award-winning renovation of the former Main Post Office on Kellogg Boulevard downtown called Custom House, which contains 202 luxury apartments, a 149 room Hyatt Place Hotel, self-storage units, indoor parking, and other features.
Exeter representatives will have preliminary plans and design concepts available for review and would like to hear from Ramsey Hill neighbors and answer questions.
