The Work of Architect Edwin H. Lundie, FAIA (1886-1972) Please join the Cass Gilbert Society meeting, open to the public, where I will be giving a 25-minute scripted slide presentation highlighting the career and works of architect Edwin H. Lundie, FAIA (1886-1972). Lundie began his career, just out of high school, in Cass Gilbert’s St. Paul office in 1904, and then became a draftsman in the office of Emmanuel Masqueray. After Masqueray's death in 1917, Lundie set up his own practice in the Endicott Building, where he spent the remainder of his career, specializing in residences, timber-frame cabins, and country estates for prestigious Minnesota clients. As a resident-owner of a Lundie-designed house, I have researched the architect’s work and have published the new book "Edwin H. Lundie, Five Decades: A Journey of Art and Architecture.” This narrated presentation will feature Lundie’s drawings and selected photographs of his commissions.
